A descendant of William Henry Savage (1791-1837), a prominent merchant in Sierra Leone and the first black lawyer in the UK. He was also the founding CEO of the Private Sector Health Alliance of Nigeria. He sits on the boards of the Sundance Institute, The International Rescue Committee and the African Development Bank’s Presidential Youth Advisory Group.

Yega is a Nigerian-born fashion artist living and working in the UK. She has been commissioned internationally by some of the world’s leading brands, including Vogue, Maison Laduree, Diane Von Furstenberg and Grazia. Her works have covered walls at The Dubai Mall and been displayed at the world’s most iconic luxury department store- Harrods. She is the founder of Fashion Illustration Africa the first online platform exclusively dedicated to illustrators of colour on the continent of Africa and in the diaspora. Yega specialises in using her art as a branding and visual communication tool in the language of luxury.

In her role as Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Government Relations at De Beers Global Sightholder Sales she was responsible for Strategic Marketing, Beneficiation, Government Relations, External Communications, Sustainability and Social Investment.

Laura Callanan

Laura Callanan is the founding partner of Upstart Co-Lab which is disrupting how creativity is funded by connecting impact investing to the creative economy. She was senior deputy chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts, leading all grant-making programs, operations, and research before launching Upstart Co-Lab in 2015. Previously, Laura was a consultant with McKinsey & Company’s Social Sector Office and associate director of the Rockefeller Foundation where, in addition to her responsibilities managing the endowment, she co-led the Foundation’s first impact investing efforts which included two investments in the creative economy.

At the 2019 4th ceremony of Mzansi Kwaito and House Music Awards her single “This is Love” won Best house single.
